PERMISSION TO PLAY OUT OF ZONE
Youth Soccer in Saskatoon is divided into five zones, each with geographic boundaries. Players in the U7*, U9*, U11, U13 and U15 age groups are bound to register with a zone based on their primary residence. Click on the Zone Map PDF to see which zone you should register with.
To facilitate players who may not wish to play with their home zone, Saskatoon Youth Soccer has a Permission to Play Out of Zone (or PTPOZ) process that must be followed.
PTPOZ Process
Players must request a transfer for each season they wish to play out of zone. Having a transfer in one season does not guarantee you a transfer for the next season.
PTPOZ requests are dealt with between the player's home zone and desired zone, once they have been received by the SYSI office. Players will be notified by the submission deadline by their home zone whether their transfer was approved.
PTPOZ Submission Deadline:
- Indoor Season: Aug 31
- Outdoor Season: Mar 15
Below are some common scenarios to assist you with understanding the steps you'll need to follow.
I reside in another zone but want to play with Hollandia
- Complete the Permission to Play Out of Zone form HERE
- Wait until you receive notice from your home zone about whether or not your request to play out of zone has been approved or denied.
- If your request has been approved, email operations@hollandiasoccer.ca for guidance on how to register with Hollandia.
- If your request has been denied, register with your home zone.
- If you do not hear about the outcome of your request prior to Hollandia evaluations, please inquire with your home zone on which evaluations to attend. You may be encouraged to attend both your home zone and Hollandia's evaluations.
I reside in Valley United's zone and want to play in Saskatoon
Valley United is a separate member organization to Saskatoon Youth Soccer and players who have played for Valley United need to apply for a release to play in Saskatoon. Please follow the process defined above. Players do not require a release from Valley United in subsequent seasons at this time.
I reside in Hollandia's zone but want to play with another zone

- If your request is denied, register with Hollandia.
- If a decision regarding the release has not been made prior to evaluations, you may be asked to attend both Hollandia's and the requested zone's evaluations. Late registration fees will be waived.
